| SUPPORT UNITS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Support units are built by using circular standard air pads, whose performances are described on sheet S02.These are completed with a steel frame and include their support at rest and a throttle valve. Support units are for use with solid loads having flat support faces underneath. A minimum of 3 units is used per load. Bearing surface should be at least half of support area.

· The independent supply, with flow adjustment individually for each support, allows the handling of excentric loads (with each support always within its capacity range). · Every support is connected to air by means of flexible pipes, with 16 or 19 mm ID. · The manifold is connected to the air supply system with a flexible pipe, whose section is calculated as a function of the number of support elements, of the required air flow (depending on floor quality) and of tube length. A pressure regulator is not necessarily required. Example: Tube ID = 19 mm for 4 units Ø 600 on smoothed concrete without joints. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
